Co-Regulation in Schools: YOU Make the Difference
A Two-Session Professional Learning Series for Support Staff in Elementary and Secondary Schools
Support Staff play a powerful role in shaping how students experience school—particularly during moments of stress, dysregulation, conflict, and challenge. The way adults respond in these moments can influence whether a student feels threatened or safe, disconnected or supported, overwhelmed or increasingly able to regulate.
This two-session professional learning series explores co-regulation through a neurodevelopmental and relationship-based lens, helping Support Staff better understand what may be happening beneath student behaviour and how their own presence, posture, and responses can support safety, connection, regulation, engagement, and resilience.
